While the exact number of REALTORS with the CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation in the Roanoke Valley varies, once thing is for sure. It is a small subset of the overall numbers of REALTORS. Last I checked only about 4% of REALTORS in the area are CRS qualified.
I am one of that 4%. And the fact that I have gone through extensive training and have to keep up a minimum number of transactions to KEEP the CSR designation means that I have the experience needed to BEST help you with the purchase or sale of your home. Here is a little more about this designation and what it means.
- Between 16 and 48 CRS course credits, depending on your number of transactions and gross sales
- 32 elective credits (none required if you have 150 transactions or average $1 million per year of experience, with a minimum of 40 transactions and have been licensed for a minimum of 10 years)
- Elective credits can also be awarded for other designations and certifications, a bachelor’s degree, and high production volume.
A minimum of 25 transactions, with no time frame, or $8 million with a minimum of 10 transactions within two years
This means that in order for me to keep theletters CRS after my name, I need to continually prove my expertise and stay current with the real estate market. What this also means is that other CSRs from around the country bring their clients to me if they are relocating to the Roanoke Valley. They want their clients to work with a professional who is trained and able to work with their clients.
If you are relocating to the Roanoke Valley, I am happy to put my expertise and experience to work for you. Please give me a call today!
